Thin film science and technology are playing an increasingly important role in the high-tech field, and have become an important embodiment of a country's scientific and technological competitiveness. In addition to playing a central role in the field of microelectronics, thin film technology has been extensively applied to communications, photoelectronics, energy generation and conversion devices, information storage, display, solar cells, and coating of any substrate. At the same time, a large number of analytical instruments and techniques have been developed to characterize the film and surface properties. At present, there are several common ways of coating: PVD, CVD, ALD and so on.

At present, the applications of coating are:

1. Decorative ornaments: mobile phone shell, watch case, spectacle frame, hardware, small ornaments and other coating.

2. Hard coatings: cutting tools, dies, wear resistant and corrosion resistant parts, etc.

3. Protective coatings: aircraft engine blades, automotive steel plates, heat sinks, etc.

4. Optical film: antireflective film, high reflective film, cut-off filter, anti-counterfeiting film, etc.

5. Building glass: sunlight control film, low-radiation glass, anti-fog and anti-dew and self-cleaning glass.

6. Solar energy utilization: solar collector tubes, solar cells and so on.

7. IC manufacturing: thin film resistors, thin film capacitors, thin film temperature sensors, etc.

8. Information display: LCD panels, plasma screens, etc.

9. Information storage: magnetic information storage, magneto optical information storage, etc.

10. Microelectronics: CPU, various microprocessors

Stanford Advanced Materials can provide a variety of epitaxial sheets for coating, film materials, metal targets and organometallic compounds. All these materials are strictly controlled the content of metal impurities.
